In direct response to the increase in business volumes and the record number of brokers now working in partnership with Praetura Asset Finance (PAF), the company’s business development team is expanding with the appointment of Jansher Zahir in the role of Business Development Manager.
Jansher joined Praetura’s Graduate Training Programme in March 2021 in the role of Graduate Underwriter, working as part of the Credit and Risk Team at Praetura Asset Finance, graduating from the programme and being promoted to Underwriter in the Autumn of the same year.
Talking about his time at PAF and the move to the business development team, Jansher told us: “I’ve been given a lot of support and training from the credit team and have been able to develop my analytical ability and knowledge significantly. The responsibility and scope for autonomous decision making I have been given I’m hoping will help ease my transition into the business development team, especially when it comes to assessing deals.
“At Praetura you know you’re part of a company that genuinely cares about you and your career, mentored and supported by people who want to see you reach your potential. I’m looking forward to continuing that development and progression and believe my previous work experience in sales focussed roles, coupled with the underwriting background I now have from the last 18 months at PAF will provide me with a solid platform to build from.
“I’m particularly looking forward to helping Praetura break through more landmarks, working with brokers to help more of their SME clients benefit from the funding we have available”.
In his new role, Jansher will be working alongside fellow Business Development Manager Will Brazel, concentrating on building relationships and working in partnership with brokers and their clients across the North West of England.
National Sales Director, Dan Heald, commented: “This has been an incredible year for us at Praetura Asset Finance, with previous funding records continually being smashed and the demand for our consultative approach to SME funding continuing to grow.
“Developing our sales team to keep up with this demand was imperative and this move is particularly exciting, as Jansher’s career as part of Praetura Asset Finance and within the SME lending industry as a whole develops. The background he’s gained on the underwriting side of things I’m sure will prove to be an immensely helpful tool for the broker he’ll be working with and their SME clients”.
