We are both pleased and proud to share the news that three members of our business development and sales team have been promoted to new roles. Conal Myers has been promoted to the role of Senior Business Development Executive and both Harry Thompson and Joe Welsby have graduated from Praetura’s Summit Programme and been promoted to the roles of Business Development Executive and Business Development Manager respectively.
Conal moved across to the role of Business Development Executive (three years after joining Praetura’s Summit Programme, following leaving the University of Central Lancashire with a First-Class Honours Degree). Since then, he has developed the role exponentially and carved out a whole new function within the business development team. That team has now tripled in size, led by Conal.
Both Harry and Joe joined Praetura as part of the Summit Programme too – as New Business Apprentices within Praetura Asset Finance’s operations team. Following successfully completing their Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeships, they both stayed a part of the Summit Programme, moving over to the sales team in the roles of Graduate Business Development Manager (Joe) and Graduate Business Development Executive (Harry), both mentored by other members of the team that have come through the ranks of the Summit Programme.
Commenting on the promotions in the business development executive team, National Sales Director, Dan Heald, told us: “The business development executive function within our sales team has been developed, initially by Conal, to be a vital asset to our offering, improving the service we can offer brokers and allowing us the scope to work on more complicated and collaborative deals for Praetura Asset Finance alongside the other Praetura Lending companies. The promotions of both Conal and Harry are in recognition of the exceptional work being done within the team.”
Dan added: “It is also yet another example of the value that Praetura’s Summit Programme offers, with this channel developing our own talent from within, making an incredible difference to the way we operate as a business.”
Regional Sales Director, Will Brazel, one of the first graduates to join Praetura’s Summit Programme, back in 2017, who is now Joe Welsby’s manager and mentor, commented: “Joe’s first year in his Graduate BDM role has been exceptional. The relationships he’s developed in a short space of time are testament to his pro-active approach and positive attitude, and this promotion is very much deserved.”
