Manchester and Blackburn-based Praetura Asset Finance has appointed two new business development managers just nine months after it commenced trading.

The firm, which offers bespoke funding options to assist with business growth and cash flow, has recruited two finance specialists with a combined experience of 50 years, taking its team of advisors to 6.

Paul Mountain from Preston,joins Praetura from Metro Bank and will manage the North of England and former regional sales manager for State Securities Plc, Graham Cockram, from Dorset, has been appointed to the South West region.

Praetura is the first truly independently-owned asset finance company to enter the market for 15 years and works with brokers, corporate financiers, auditors and turnaround specialists to provide a ‘best-fit’ financing solution based on individual customer needs. It was established by the former managing director of One Business Finance (part of Close Brothers), Mike Hartley.

“Both Paul and Graham have a plethora of experience and will be a great asset to Praetura,” said Mike.

“With specialisms in asset finance, pre pack funding and hire purchase, they will add a new dimension to our growing business and dedicate their time to further developing our offering across the North of England and South West.”

Since January 2014 Praetura, which specialises in construction & plant, engineering, printing, transport, waste & recycling and agriculture, has provided more than 130 advances totalling in excess of £10.4m.
