Praetura Asset Finance has launched a new graduate scheme to drive forward its ambitious growth plans.
The company has already increased its headcount by 200 per cent since the start of 2015 and is looking to recruit five trainee business development managers (BDMs).
Successful applicants will receive bespoke training, mentoring and development opportunities across a number of departments, working alongside Praetura’s in-house finance experts to gain a rounded understanding of the business and develop key industry skills.
Trainee BDMs will work predominantly within the company’s sales and commercial team to help UK SMEs access much-needed financial solutions – eventually becoming responsible for their own client portfolio.
Praetura Asset Finance lent more than £25m in 2014, its first year of business and is on track to reach £50m this year.
Mike Hartley, managing director of Praetura Asset Finance, said: “Attracting talented graduates and young people into the business is key to our growth and enabling us to service the country’s increasing appetite for asset finance.
“Graduate schemes are a proven springboard to a long-term career and as the company has grown and matured, we’ve been able to shift our recruitment strategy from solely seeking experienced individuals to also sourcing quality talent with no finance background.
“We’re a business that prides itself on customer excellence, creative problem solving and going the extra mile, which are star qualities that we look for in our staff. Financial ability can be taught and that’s exactly why our graduate scheme is crucial in helping us become the UK’s leading asset finance specialist.”
